High School

There are currently five high school programs that train out of Leander Boat Club. The on-water high school program runs from April 1st until the Canadian Secondary School Rowing Association (CSSRA, or “Schoolboy”) Championships, typically the 1st weekend in June. (CSSRA website)

For information regarding each school’s program, please contact the school’s Principal or Department Head of Physical Education:

High school aged (under 19) rowers who do not attend one of these schools are encouraged to get involved with the Junior (U17 & U19) Competitive Club program, which runs all year. Current competitive High School rowers are also welcome and encouraged to get involved with the Leander Boat Club JR program.

Once the High School competitive season is over, athletes are encouraged to continue rowing in one of Leander Boat Club’s programs, depending on their skill, fitness, availability and interest. (Click on the program name for more information).
