Each year, the Leander Boat Club offers a rowing program for high school students beginning in early April and finishing in mid June. The volunteer coaches are drawn primarily from the ranks of former Leander Oarsmen and Oarswomen. The Club supplies the coach boats, gasoline, practice and rowing shells and oars, as well as all equipment transportation to regattas. In the 2008 season , the high school program attracted over 120 participants.
